AUDITIONS FOR SOUND OF MUSIC

Performances March 19, 20, 21, 22



Interest Meetings - Mon & Tues (12/1 & 12/2) after school 2:30 – 4:30

Students will get audition packets.

Students will learn the songs, scenes, and short dance audition.

Students will sign-up to audition on Monday or possibly Tuesday



Auditions – Mon 12/8 after school 2:30 – 5:00; Tues 12/9 after school 2:30 – 3:30 (only those who can not come on Monday)

Students wait in the lobby until they are called to audition in the auditorium.

Students will audition in the auditorium in groups of 6 students at a time.

Each student will sing their 1 song choice by themselves.

Students will perform 1 of the scenes they rehearsed.

Students may be asked to read an unrehearsed scene with other students.

Students will perform the short dance audition in a group of 6 together.



Call-backs – Mon 12/15 after school 2:30 – 5:30

Students will meet in the auditorium.

Students will audition in front of all of the students who are called-back.

Students will audition with some of the material from the audition packet.

Students may be asked to read some new scenes from the script.

Students may be asked to sing some new songs from the score.

Students will perform 1 of the scenes they rehearsed.

Students may be asked to perform the dance again.



The Cast List will be posted by Monday, December 22nd .

Rehearsals start on Mon, January 5, 2009 @ 2:30 – 5:30 pm.
